In response to public outcries against exorbitant ticket prices, and resulting disappointing sales numbers, Hank Steinbrenner has successfully lobbied for the New Yankee Stadium to be the host casino for the 2009 World Series of Poker. Steinbrenner has already begun outfitting the necessary amenities. When asked whether he felt the new attractions would be the source of any distraction, Steinbrenner declined comment.
In related news, Hideki Matsui has been seen logging machine-like, marginally losing sessions at one of the stadiums $1-$2 no limit hold 'em tables. Correlations with his slow start are being investigated. His likeness has been chosen as the preliminary adornment for the innovative hybrid.
